The Art of Marlene Kingman

ARTIST STATEMENT: Professionally I am a commercial Architect, where design tends to be functional and regulated. Creating oil paintings and working in photography provides a balance, allowing freedom for expression and creativity.

This fall I attended a plein aire workshop in the Oxbow Mountains of Montana, instructed by Jim Lamb. The experience was inspiring and has brought a new aspect to my works. Now that the winter solstice has passed bringing the promise of spring, I anticipate having more time to paint outdoors and further experience plein aire painting.
